We made an appearance this morning on WPIX News (Channel 11 in NYC).  The segment was about Kim Kardashian’s new engagement ring, a whopping 15 carat cushion cut from Kanye West.  We were feature as a more attainable ring showing a 1.5 cara cushion cut set in a halo setting for a mear $15,000.  Kim’s new ring is estimated at over $3,000,000 !

This is tough and there is no clear cut ettiquette for quicky divorces. Normally, when a wedding is called off last minute, it’s appropriate to give back the ring. According to etiquette expert Harriette Cole, traditional protocol is to return the ring if the union has lasted less than a year, especially if it is a family heirloom. Anna Post, author of Emily Post’s Wedding Parties agrees, saying:

“The ring should always be returned. It’s a token of the marriage to come, and when that marriage doesn’t happen, that token becomes inappropriate. Why would you want a reminder of a failed relationship? It’s not like this is a consolation prize in monetary value.”

In Kim’s case, her pre-nup included a clause that requires her to buy the ring back from Kris for its original price if the two divorce, reports MSNBC. For Kim, that’s chump change and clear cut. However, Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, thinks the ring should not be returned. “A gift is a gift,” she said last Thursday on Fox and Friends.

The Ceremony: Kim was walked down the aisle in Vera Wang by her step father Bruce Jenner.  Sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie and her new sister-in-law, Kaela, all served as her “K” named bridesmaids. Kourtney’s son Mason served as the ring bearer for the ceremony.

The Rings: The couple exchanged rings by Lorraine Schwartz, who also designed the engagement ring.

The dresses: In addition to her wedding dress, Kim made two more changes, both also Vera Wang.  The first was a Georgette mermaid gown with hand-pieced Chantilly lace appliqué on the bodice, and the second was a bias-cut crepe back satin gown.

The Bridal Party:Her sisters will be decked in green and all receive Judith Lieber handbags, reports OK!

The Guestlist:Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Demi LovatoDemi Lovato, Babyface and several NBA stars all received invites. Kim invited 500, but had to cut 50 people to fit the film crew. Family and friends had to go in the name of the beauty of the “reality?” moment.

The Cake: Hansen’s Cakes in Los Angeles have re-created the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal cake.

The Profit: Kim’s wedding will not only be televised on  Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, but she sold out of her limited edition made especially for the occasion.   they’re also said to have negotiated a whopping $1.5 million weekly magazine deal for exclusive photos, according to insiders.

Kris Humphries proposed to the star with a 20-plus-carat gem he designed with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz, who gave Kim jewels for the Emmy Awards, and other events. The 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone is flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoids.

“In high school I went to Macy’s and bought this fake ring, my ‘perfect’ ring, and this is almost the exact same,”Kim tells PEOPLE.  “[Lorraine] always listened to what I would want and the shapes I love. I had said I loved an emerald cut and they were scheming and plotting for a while.”

This ladies, is why it’s important to know, trust and talk to your jeweler about what you want!

She also works with Sugar Factory Lollipops. Her latest publicity push for them has less to do with sweets and more with sparkle.
A giant, $1 million lollipop made an appearance at the brand’s store candy in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.The stick and the casing of the lollipop is set with 280 princess cut diamonds making it, in Kim’s words, “the most blinged out, expensive couture lollipop ever.”

Sarah Hyland sparkled in Me & Ro gold and black diamond jewelry.  The standout piece was the drop earrings.

Kyra Sedgewick chose a very similar pair.

Also opting for drop earrings was Angela Kinsey from the Office, with a pair from Chopard.
