We made an appearance this morning on WPIX News (Channel 11 in NYC). The segment was about Kim Kardashian’s new engagement ring, a whopping 15 carat cushion cut from Kanye West. We were feature as a more attainable ring showing a 1.5 cara cushion cut set in a halo setting for a mear $15,000. Kim’s new ring is estimated at over $3,000,000 !

Kanye West loves diamonds. Late last year the superstar rapper blinged out his smile by having the gems applied to his teeth and now, he’s proving diamonds are a man’s best friend with a new watch.

What does the $180,000 time piece look like? You’ll never believe it.

The 18-karat gold Tiret watch took over 5 months to create and depicts his face using eight karats of yellow, black, brown and white diamonds in unmistakeable detail, sunglasses and all.

It’s already started a trend. Usher is said to be getting one as well to the tune of $250,000.

Say you could afford it, would you wear a watch with your own image made of diamonds?

Bling Bling! Kanye West Has Diamonds on His Teeth

Kanye West has a new short film ‘Runaway’ out and a new look. The rapper had his bottom teeth removed and replaced with diamonds. “I just thought the diamonds were cooler,” Kanye told Ellen DeGenerous on her show last week. “There’s just certain stuff that rock stars are supposed to do.”

Um-sounds very hip and we love everything diamonds, but is this completely unhealthy?

The Los Angeles Times was told by a California dentist that “Chewing is going to be a bit of a challenge. No peanut butter brittle, no opening a can of beer with your teeth. It’s going to affect his jaw also because … the weight of the diamond is greater than a normal tooth structure. If he doesn’t have anything on the top [row], it will wear the top part of the teeth faster. In five to seven to 10 years, he’ll have damage on his upper teeth.”

Is this cool or way over the top?
