Marilyn Monroe’s Wedding Ring Is Up For Auction

Marilyn Monroe was an icon on the screen and came to define female beauty. Now, one of her most precious items is up for auction: the wedding ring given to her by Joe Dimmagio.

The platinum ring comes with 35 baguette-cut diamonds and is missing one stone. It will be auctioned at Profiles In History between December 15-17, just in time for Christmas for one lucky person with plenty of cash to spare. The estimated going price is set at $500,000.

Along with the ring, a nude painting of the movie star is for sale, as is Judy Garland’s ruby slippers from the The Wizard Of Oz.
